Betting should be something you enjoy — a way to add excitement to a PSL match or a live casino session, not a source of stress or financial pressure. Pak Gem gives you the tools to keep it that way.
At Pak Gem, responsible gaming is not a disclaimer buried at the bottom of a page — it is something we actively build into the platform. We understand that for most players in Pakistan, betting on cricket, T20 internationals or live casino games is a leisure activity, and we want to make sure it stays that way.
The tools on this page are available to every registered Pak Gem player, completely free of charge and accessible directly from your account settings. You do not need to contact support to use them — they are designed to be simple, instant and effective.
Whether you want to put a cap on how much PKR you deposit each week, set a reminder after a long session, or step back from the platform entirely for a while — all of that is within your control. Read through this page to understand what is available and how each tool works.
Ask yourself these questions honestly before each betting session:
If you answered "no" to two or more of these, consider taking a break today.
Six practical tools built into your Pak Gem account to help you stay in control — all available instantly from your settings.
Set a maximum amount in PKR that you can deposit each day, week or month. Once your limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Reducing a limit takes effect immediately; increasing it has a cooling-off period to protect you from impulse decisions.
Instant when loweredChoose how long each betting or casino session can last. When your time is up, the platform prompts you to confirm whether you want to continue or log out. This feature is particularly useful if you find yourself losing track of time during long cricket matches or live casino sessions.
Daily & per-sessionAt the interval you choose — 30 minutes, 60 minutes or longer — a screen prompt appears showing how long you have been active and summarising your net position for the session. You can then decide whether to carry on or take a break. These prompts cannot be permanently dismissed; they reappear at each interval.
Repeating promptsTake a short break from betting without committing to a full self-exclusion. Cool-off periods can be set for 24 hours, 48 hours, one week or one month. During a cool-off you cannot log in or place bets, but your account and balance are preserved and will be available when the period ends.
24h to 1 monthIf you feel you need a longer break, self-exclusion closes your account for a minimum of six months. During this period you will not be able to log in, deposit, place bets or receive promotional messages from Pak Gem. After the exclusion period ends, re-activation requires a deliberate, manual request from you.
Minimum 6 monthsSet a cap on how much you are willing to lose in a given period. Once your loss limit is reached, further betting is paused for the rest of that day, week or month — whichever period you selected. This tool is separate from deposit limits and works as an additional safety net if you are on a losing run.
Daily / weekly / monthlySetting up any responsible gaming tool on Pak Gem takes less than two minutes. Here is how to do it:
Use your registered mobile number and password to access your Pak Gem account from any device.
Click the profile icon at the top right of the screen and select "Responsible Gaming" from the dropdown menu.
Select whichever tool you need — deposit limit, session timer, cool-off, self-exclusion or loss limit — and enter your preferred value.
Review the details and confirm. Limits that reduce your activity take effect immediately. Any increase to an existing limit will go through a mandatory review delay before activating.
If you cannot access your account or need urgent help activating self-exclusion, contact our support team any time. We will apply the exclusion manually and confirm by email.
Problem gambling can develop gradually and is not always easy to recognise in yourself. These are some of the most common warning signs to watch for:
Placing more bets specifically to try to win back money you have already lost. This is one of the earliest and most clear warning signs that your relationship with betting has changed.
Spending more PKR on betting than you planned, or using money set aside for bills, groceries or family expenses to fund your betting account.
Thinking about betting when you should be sleeping, working or spending time with family. If betting occupies your thoughts in a way that feels compulsive, that is worth taking seriously.
Concealing how much you bet or how often from friends, family or a partner is a common sign that you recognise the behaviour has gone beyond healthy limits.
Using a betting session as a way to escape from stress, anxiety, boredom or difficult emotions rather than for entertainment. This pattern can escalate quickly.
These habits will not only help you stay in control — they will also make your betting experience more enjoyable over the long term. Most experienced bettors in Pakistan already follow most of these without thinking about it.
Decide in advance exactly how much you are comfortable spending on betting this week. Treat it the same way you would a dinner out or a cinema ticket — it is entertainment money, and once it is gone, it is gone for the week.
This applies whether it is a bank loan, a debt from a friend or money borrowed through a mobile wallet. Betting with borrowed funds creates financial pressure that turns entertainment into stress very quickly.
When you lose a bet, remind yourself that you paid for the entertainment of watching a PSL match with some skin in the game — not that you have lost something you expected to keep. This mindset shift makes a real difference.
Step away from the screen every hour or so. Get a glass of water, stretch, check in with family. Fatigue and extended screen time both impair your judgement, leading to bets you would not otherwise place.
Emotions and betting do not mix well. If you have had a difficult day, a disagreement at home or financial worries, that is the wrong time to open the Pak Gem platform. Log in when you are in a relaxed, clear-headed state.
Loving Pakistan cricket and betting on it are two different things. Try not to let a heavy loss on a match affect how you feel about the sport itself. Your enjoyment of T20 internationals or PSL season should not depend on the outcome of a bet.
If someone in your household is betting on Pak Gem and you are concerned about their behaviour, there are things you can do.
Pak Gem requires all players to be at least 18 years old. Age verification is part of the registration process and may be required again during account review.
